Thanks! I just changed it, now it's in the "miscellaneous"section now.
Well, it's incomplete ^^
I really like it for a first, and about 2 mins into most my songs, I start to try and end them xD.
Suggestions:
Well, i really liked the feel this gave- so no suggestions on what you have,
but to finish it, have a memorable melody line at the end - exactly at the second it ends to have an epic build up and feel; but try not to make it derive from the original feel of the song ;)
Hope I helped
5/5
9/10 - cos it's incomplete!
Thx a lot! I'll take all this in consideration.
See ya around!
I do agree :)
Big improvement, lovely instrument choices;
but, as suggested below- more complex chord changes and sections, though it's nice, simple- and easy to build upon.
Nice ending ^^ really subtle
Addictive,
Sounds quite Japanese as about halfway in :)
The drums are addictive xP and it is nice
The erm.. cymbals? well whatever percussion that was building up was amazingly done;
my only criticism is again velocities- and do you EQ? and what reverb do you use?
You work real quick MH, which is good when scoring for a game- but never rush work :) I know one person who spends weeks on one song, of course it's worth it though :p
nice work;
fav.

The percussion that was building up was a hi-hat :P
I've got to work on those velocities like you said.
And i don't EQ. I don't even know what EQ'ing actually is :P
The reverb that i use? Erm... i honestly don't know :S
About rushing my work:
Well, let's just say i work really fast. When i open up FL and start making something, i usually make everything without saving. And when the song is done i wonder what could be better and i improve that.
I save my song, export it to MP3 and upload it on NG.
Usually that takes me about 1 to 2 hours :P
I really appreciate your review and of course, thanks for the fav, the 10 and the 5.

Nice work
I could hear my theme!^^
What drums are those? it's really good,
Only criticisms:
The Piano seemed to have not much change in velocity
Maybe make the volume louder on the highs? (EQ'ing)
Your songs always have me tappin my foot xD you just make those songs :)
well done
and good day

When i made that melody and i listened to it again, i thought: ''Hey, that sounds familliar.'' and i listened to your song and recognized it :P
The drums VST that i use is called ''Addictive Drums''.
Thanks for the advice and the review!

P.S. Good day to you too :P
:p this is the piano you were...
talking about for your MAC8 entry before xD
it's not so out of tune, and it makes it sound so beautiful.
You can definately hear your signature style here :)
lovely improv.
>>Zero123Music
Actually, this is a LOT better than the piano I have at home. This one was at a school practice room. Mine is....not a happy piano, lol. Thanks for reviewing Zero!
It's soo, unexpected-
so unusual combination.
But of course I love it.
-Now I envy you, but I will try my hardest and give constructive criticism^^
The only thing I had noticed the 8-bit part at 1:10 was short, but I would of created a higher note on the second riff, to differentiate from the first riff.
But from a whole song that's all I could critisize.
Amazing 8bit :p
amazing orchestra, *though maybe lower the volume of the timpani roll a tiny bit? (might be my speakers)
amazing rock!! *I looove to now what you used for that part please? :)
well done, and as the guy below said- this is so different and refreshing
I love your work sinjim! *fav song :)
>>Zero123Music
Thanks for the review, zero. I had some trouble for the timpani. I went back and forth with a variety of different samples that I had in there. For the rock, I used the stock samples that come built in to Logic. I know it's lame; I did want to record the guitars myself, but my amp and recording equipment aren't really that good.
I'll definitely check the levels on Timpani and make sure nothing's clipping. I see what you say about the second 8-bit part. If I can get time, I'll give it a second look.
Thanks again for the comments! Off to review your song :)
~SinJim
Simple and calming
Likes the melody- and the recording was really well done, I only thought the first melody was reapeated quite a bit :p
nice chords though - and that is only a minor criticism.
nice work
>>Zero123Music
Thanks for the good comment, looking foward for some of your new stuff.
100!!
100th review man,
so, erm
well done!
Epicness
you have such a bright future- I can just hear it :) ;
1. I really love your drums,
2. You are getting very good with the piano,
3. The trombone- was very nice, and a good choice of instument
the only thing is sometimes it played a bit to quick, and didn't sound too realistic for a trombone player.
4. Loops really well- and I can listen for a loong time (which is good)
5. The pizzicato string/s were really nice, xD well done
>>Zero
Haha, you have a good point about the trombone XD
I didn't even think about that a trombone player can play that quick :P
Thanks for the review! :-)
