Ha ha... Thanks, I too have Diamond, I was a bit hesitant on getting it, but after seeing X-Plays review on it I gave it a shot, and it took me back into the days of Red and Blue, which made me happy. XD

But yeah, I personally like this piece for it's eeriness that is in it...

I want to become a great musician/composer so I looked at your post 2 and it sent me here.

I just wanted to see if any of my stuff was up to par with this early stuff of yours;
well, obviously not - *sigh great composing for me is a mile off.

I will try music theory - great song btw

You are just like me, lol. When I started on newgrounds, I really looked up to a user named SmartPoetic. Here classical music was incredible, and I looked up to her as a musician. From the start I would compare my most recent songs to her earliest works to see if they even compared and I felt as though I didn't come even close.

Now, I realize doing that is ridiculous. We had completely different styles and it was really a matter of perception. As a musician, I have a terrible tendency to be my own biggest critic and often think that my newest song turned out horribly. Then, someone else listens and says that it is amazing.

I wrote this when I was 14, which is a year older than you are. You still have plenty of time to improve and I am often very impressed with your songs. In some aspects, they are better than my own. We just have different styles. Keep composing, study a little bit of music theory on the side, listen/play a lot of different music, and you'll improve quite a bit. From my first song to now, I have come an incredible distance. And I still have a long way to go. Don't get discouraged! :D
