Holy moly!

This piece was truly gorgeous. lol your name is like everywhere - SolusLunes lol. Like said below you are a genious, i really liked the brass sounds, so subtle and added that big finale in the middle which was beautifully pulled. Well, basically this is amazing.

SolusLunes responds:

My name is everywhere? Hmm...

I like the sound of that.

Glad you liked the song! :D

You never disappoint

I was surpsrised that I was the 1st reviewer.

A very good nostalgic feel loved the little whistle (don't know what it is called lol)

You told me, long ago - before castle crashers was out that you thought I should start from the very basics and work my way up - I enjoy making music but, I don't know what to do with it.

DavidOrr responds:

Thanks! The instrument you're hearing is the piccolo, which is often heard in marches, and has been associated with battles for centuries (which is why I included it!) Starting from the basics is really essential when it comes to anything- you need a solid foundation to build on. Once you have the theory, the ear, and the experience backing you, you'll be able to do whatever you want musically.

I'm constantly trying to expand my knowledge of both classical music (and by classical, I mean dating back to the 1500's), up through the present time. I'm not going to pretend I know everything, because I most certainly don't- but I do know that the last thing you want to do is isolate yourself completely from a particular type of music, or a time period. There are many musicians that are SO into classical music, that although they have a vast knowledge of what happened in western music from the 17th century through the mid 20th century, they have little (if any) experience with music outside of their field.

Write what you enjoy, and write what people enjoy. Never stop trying to expand your knowledge of how music works, and you'll be achieving great things!

Forgiveness, sweetness, innocence.

I have sent many a PM - and seeing as you have submitted you are not away and you are here. I have come to the conclusion that I have been blocked lol.

I still want to show my appreciation. This song brought about the aura of forgiveness, and innocence of a young child. The one forgiving then remembers the joys they had when they were that age..

See you at Square (you know what I mean) ;-)

BlazingDragon responds:

Blockied? No way! I've forgotten to respond to my PMs. >_>
I've been really busy since school started and have not had much time for newgrounds. I still have a bunch of reviews I need to respond to. I read all my PMs late in the night and decided to respond the next day, but I completely forgot! I'll do that now. xD

Thanks for the review my friend. I really must apologize about not responding to your PM sooner.

I was completely mesmorised by this piece, the softness - the hope, shining from a small crack deep within the surface slowly creeping up and up towards the sky.

3:05 the chance walks away as the hope rests and waits for another chance.

This may sound like gibberish but this is what I think of when I listen to this song.

Tamadrum responds:

Thanks for the image man... And thanks for the review!!

:-O

Setu-Firestorm responds:

No wai! =p

Well,

I have nothing really to say just - THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!

but not much, you said you would respond so I decided to get typing - well that's it - oh! and you know where BlazingDragon is?, he normally replies my PMs pretty soon, (i probs sent him too many) and I don't like to promote my own stuff just if you're reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaly bored maybes take a tiiiny peek at my profile - (just there are 2 new songs but seeing as BD won't reply, I'd love your criticism as it helps me alot)

only if your bored though, don't feel obliged.
>>Zero [song is great by the way ]

Tamadrum responds:

I'll check out your stuff here in a minute... sorry it took me so long to reply, I was out of town for the weekend. Thanks!

Well Done!

Every one is loving your music on castle crashers, you should see on youtube. You should start getting into some bigger stuff though - like Square Enix would probably kill for someone with your talent now that Nobuo has gone off with smile please I think.

I would rank you with the best composers, really.

DavidOrr responds:

Well once I get through school my plan is to get an in-house job with someone like Square Enix for a while- I've got a few potential jobs lined up right now, but my main goal is to get my degrees!

I agree with everyone

well, i am a fan of yours ever since rose at nightfall, very emotional this piece is (and no, Yoda i'm not)

Haha look, he has a similiar name to me [below]

NemesisTheory responds:

haha :)
well this song has a little bit of a lot of things i think, which was pretty much the idea :D

I'm glad you like the song!
and yes, he does XD

Wow, shivers are down my spine.

I absolutely loved this piece please tell me how you made it?

Sounds like a horrible conspiracy... Great..

This was number 1 on classical and rightly so.

Blind-Bane responds:

thanks man :D
i composed it on my crappy nylon and used the Edirol VST plugin in Cubase for all the instruments ^^

I was listening to this on super smash bros brawl

I love Zelda, please, if you haven't already told me what piano do you use? (if it isn't recorded, i can't tell anymore!!)
great sound at 0:33 i think, lol i'm going on ocarina of time just to play that song on the ocarina - and yes, I agree with the guy below, very powerful [Xcutionaer - shut up I can't spell!] download 5/5

BlazingDragon responds:

The piano is called "MIS Stereo Piano" and can be found on a newspost by BlackHole12.

http://blackhole12.newgrounds.com/new s/ (remove spaces)

The original (What I use) is a direct wave file and can be loaded into the FL Studio demo. The only real disadvantage is that it is a very hefty file; 200 MB. There is also a soundfont version in his latest newspost, but I haven't had a chance to check it out. It is a bit smaller (around 150 MB) but is also of slightly lesser sound quality. Check one of them out!

But on to your review! :p
I thought :33 was one of the more boring/thin parts of the song myself. I was worried that people would stop listening there before the build! I'm glad you liked it. I would love to go back and play Ocarina of Time if I owned the game still...

Thanks for the review Zero! :D
